 The Practitioner's Pod

A place for practitioners of experiential education to get better at running activities

  • Sessions will be a day long. 10 am - 5.30 pm.

 NAMAN SHARMA

This experience has been amazing with everybody’s eager participation and curiosity and questions.
Things I learned:
•  asking right questions by not loading them,
•  also, working on building connections/associations like what we did with leaf.
I am going to reflect on these learning and then learn more by doing.

 RITUPARNA GHOSH

Thank you for energising the room with an amazing bunch of activities yesterday.
This was my first ‘experience’ of being around Experiential Educators. It was a deeply stimulating experience.
“Practitioner’s Pod”  was a fantastic way to experience, learn and reflect on my own processes. So after a while I kept hoping my name was not picked from the bowl 😅
I was thoroughly enjoying being the doer, spectator and learner.
I look forward to learning more from all of you…

 PRIYANKA AGARWAL

It was a truly meaningful and enriching experience! Key takeaways for me were:
•  The importance of asking the right questions
•  The value of giving clear and concise instructions, as Vishwas Sir emphasized - the ability to convey instructions effectively without unnecessary elaboration
I also appreciated the Pre-Activity-Post structure.

 PRANJAL SEMWAL

 PREETIKA

This experience has truly been very valuable for me. The opportunity to do and understand different activities has been a learning experience for me. It has helped me improve my learning process and overcome my fear of the English language. I sincerely thank you for placing your trust in us.

 SHWETA VERMA   Ginny's Planet

Practitioner's Pod was an opportunity to experience different styles of facilitation and also to showcase mine & seek important feedback.  It was fun, reflective, brave.
•  Get the group to make connections as they reflect on your questions. Don't be in hurry to offer yours.
•  We become monkeys when we have things to play with! :) And that can be used as an advantage to ask participants what they can already see. This helps in reducing the number of instructions.
•  If you throw a challenge to the group, be kind to them.
This and more. Would be back again, whenever the opportunity comes!

 MONA

I'm excited to share my experience with Practitioner Pod, where I participated in an activity related to Social-Emotional Learning (SEL). I had the opportunity to discuss and reflect on SEL concepts, which was truly enriching. Looking forward to more such engaging experiences!

Practitioners Pod experience has been truly empowering. As educator, I often focus on creating transformative spaces for others, yet this time, I found myself held in a space that was equally enriching and safe for me. To participate, to facilitate, and to receive direction and feedback felt deeply grounding. It reminded me how essential it is not just to hold space, but to be held in it too.
It is also a great opportunity to connect with others, what drives them at their core. To understand the energy they carry and the purpose that fuels their work was profoundly moving. This space transcended anything I’ve experienced before.
In my own environments, I experiment, gather, and innovate, constantly developing new methods. But rarely I pause to ask, Is it working? I often weave together diverse approaches into something uniquely mine. But then, what am I really creating?
Metaphorically, it’s like choosing between creating Frankenstein’s creature, a cautionary tale of unchecked ambition, disconnection, and ethical oversight, or The Iron Giant, a symbol of love, agency, and the powerful truth that “you are who you choose to be.”
One of the key takeaways from this workshop was that everything we do, or don’t do, has an impact on those around us. This awareness invites a deeper responsibility in how we show up, both as educators and as humans.

 DILBAG SINGH

Being a part of the Practitioner’s Pod has been such a meaningful and enriching experience for me.
Engaging in this space allowed me to connect, learn, and reflect in ways that truly added value to my journey.
The activities, the energy, and the shared insights made it a truly memorable time.
I’m genuinely grateful for this opportunity and would love to be a part of it again in the future.
Thank you to everyone who made it special, and a big thanks to the Practitioner’s Pod team for curating such a thoughtful experience!

 VIJAY

Participating in and conducting this kind of workshop was a very good experience for me. I got to learn many new activities and also had the opportunity to conduct one myself. Honestly, this was my first time presenting an activity, and I’m really excited to hear the feedback. From now on, I don't want to miss even a single workshop like this.

 SAGARIKA MOHANTY

Participating in the prop-based experiential learning workshop was a first-time experience for me, and presenting was also something I did for the very first time. Although I know my presentation requires improvement, I learned the importance of having complete clarity about the prop being used and ensuring that the questions asked are clear and do not confuse the audience. Establishing a connection with the audience is essential. I felt slightly overwhelmed and began with debriefing the intention instead of starting with an opening question, which I will work on in the future. I am truly grateful to Shweta Ma'am for introducing me to this wonderful world of learning. I walked in with one activity and returned with a head full of ideas, looking forward to more such enriching experiences.

MUSTAFA

I was able to experiment new ways of processing which helped in improving upon a weak spot.
As the session was dedicatedly activity based I was able to focus on and learn from each facilitator, their delivery style, and how they approached processing/reflection.

MADHURA S

A useful platform for practicing and fine-tuning execution and facilitation skills. Helped me see where and what am I lacking in while the actual execution of the activities.

HEMALI G

The Practitioner's Pod provided an invaluable learning opportunity. In this setting, a group of experienced professionals participated as I conducted an activity and then engaged in a thoughtful debriefing. While initially intimidating, this environment pushed me to step outside my comfort zone. By navigating the pressure and focusing on my strengths, I gained invaluable insights and refined my practice.

SOMSUVRA C

I think the Practitioner’s Pod was a very effective space to develop and learn more as a facilitator. It helped in
- getting exposed to more activities and understand variations of it
- get a preview of how the debrief of an activity looks like
- building a network

KARTHIKEYAN MG

It was a refreshing experience to examine my craft.
I had prepped for running an activity. I walked back adding 6 more activities to my bank.
The sharp reflections on various aspects of running an activity provided valuable insights.

DIYANAT

The Practitioners' Pod offered a valuable opportunity to explore and experience diverse styles and approaches to facilitating experiential activities. Vishwas provided insightful feedback, focusing on strengthening facilitators in their areas of expertise while encouraging them to adopt practices that could create a deeper, more meaningful impact on participants. This balance of affirming strengths and fostering growth enhanced the learning experience for everyone involved.

SHWETA V

1.) Helped in reflecting on my own practice.
2.) Ignited exploration & ideas.
3.) It was a tough experience.

CAROLINE M

The Practitioner's Pod is a brilliant space to get your hands as dirty as you want as a facilitator. It allows you to make as many mistakes as you can with only one consequence - you'll know exactly what can be better in your briefing and how you can ask sharper questions.
If a mirror is what you're looking for as a facilitator, the Practitioner's Pod is for you!

YOU ARE NEXT!

Awaiting your participation and experience!
